FORBIDDEN'S NEW CD OMEGA WAVE October 22, 2010

Everyone had a great night celebrating and listening to Forbidden's new cd OMEGA WAVE at Oakland's Soundwave Studios. Delicious food, drinks and the bright green gift bags with Forbidden T-shirts, posters and other Nuclear Blast artist cds in them brought smiles to fans faces. BITE and BATUSIS at Thee Parkside in San Francisco

BITE

We spent our Sunday night at Thee Parkside in San Francisco checking out BATUSIS (featuring Cheetah Chrome of Dead Boys and Sylvain Sylvain of New York Dolls). But before that we got to see BITE tear it up!!!  Chelsea, Keith, Jon and Hjeffe absolutely made my YEAR!!!! They played some new songs "Go Man Go", "Dive Bar"(dedicated to Thee Parkside of course), “Motopsycho", “Gimme Gimme",  “Rubber Cement", "Razorblade", my absolute favorite "Yesterday's Trash" and "Frankenstein" of Angie Bowie's comp "AIDS BEGONE".  I am pleased to find out these will be on BITE’s upcoming record and CD “Leave Em To Bleed”. It should be out DIY style release just in time for Christmas!!  Guess what I want for Christmas!

Meanwhile, Batusis was amazing. There is nothing quite like having your ears and mind blown by these legends! I still have goose bumps from Sonic Reducer.

A few minutes with Paul Bostaph

This is one of my favorite experiences in music journalism. I was able to catch Testament's drummer at Slim's, 9/12/2008, when he sat in for his former band Forbidden. Paul Bostaph has also been in Slayer and Exodus.
